Best Places to Grab a Drink on Phillip Island

Phillip Island Winery Fb Page

With a favourable mild climate and dirt rich with nutrients, the grapes grown on Phillip Island and throughout Gippsland helps create some of Victoria’s best wines, but if you’re not much of wine drinker, there are an abundance of breweries & cocktail bars dotted around the island to suit everyone’s tastes.

We’ve put a list of the best places to grab a drink while you stay on the island, perfect for a lazy afternoon. Plus, don’t forget to bring some bottles or cans home for your friends or family, or a treat for yourself.

Phillip Island Winery

Located near the Grand Prix Circuit, Phillip Island Winery has a wide range of red and white wine to enjoy, including their 2008 Estate Chardonnay awarded 94 out of 100 by wine guru James Halliday.

The cellar door is a cute cottage-style building, offering wine tastings and a cosy log fire during the colder nights. Snack on their fabulous platters filled with local Gippsland cheeses and smoked trout accompanied with homemade dips, or move into the restaurant for a rustic lunch, all while taking in glimpses of the glittering turquoise water of Bass Strait.
