Morning Activities

Fully fuelled from breakfast, hop in the car and head to Churchill Island, a beautiful farm packed full of fun activities located just 10 minutes from town. Take a step back in time and explore the heritage and tranquil scenery of the extensive farm grounds and beautiful gardens. Be greeted by the Cape Barren geese honking and showing off their bright green beaks as you wind your way through the paddocks towards the carpark. Discover the ways of the olden days and look on as our rangers and farm hands carry out the daily heritage farming activities like sheep shearing, working dogs, cow milking, and whip cracking, something for the whole family!

Lunch Time!

After a big morning at the farm, it’s time to grab some lunch at Cheeky Goose Café. This local favourite offers a generous menu of classic dishes using only fresh, local ingredients. Did we mention they make some unreal desserts too so make sure you save room for a second course! Our favourites have to be the Lobster Morney and the Wagyu Brisket Burger, but we can’t go past the Bonza Burrito Bowl for our vegan friends.

Afternoon Activities

Feeling a bit sleepy after a big lunch? It’s time for some sun and sand at the beach! Head down to Cowes Main Beach for an afternoon playing in the calm waves and lounging on the stunning soft sand. Patrolled during the summer months this is the perfect spot for families with little ones, while giving the big kids a safe place to snorkel and catch their first wave.

Quick Dinner & Penguin Parade

As the sun begins to set, head back to the Park for a quick shower and bite to eat because it’s almost time for what you’ve been waiting for all day, the Penguin Parade! You can catch the world’s smallest penguin every night at sunset as they waddle from their daily sea adventures to their homes in the sand dunes. It’s a magical experience and a favourite for the young ones who can learn more about these penguins and the research that goes on to protect the island’s wildlife. Make sure you book your tickets in advance here, as spots are limited and filling fast over the holiday period.
